This workshop will provide learners with the opportunity to consider science-based research frameworks for interrupting and mitigating bias in the workplace on a personal level. We will investigate factors that trigger bias, and explore the implications of stereotypes in the workplace. We will also share research directly related to bias in the workplace. Participants will leave the workshop with a tailored plan and toolkit for interrupting and mitigating bias in the workplace.

Day two of the workshop is a practice lab follow-up to day one where participants will have the opportunity to practice components of their plan developed in the workshop and apply what they have learned by examining case studies.

You will learn to:

  • Examine how bias impacts the workplace
  • Develop an individualized plan for interrupting and mitigating bias in the workplace
