U-M Health preparing to offer COVID-19 vaccine boosters for all adults

The Food and Drug Administration last week authorized a single booster dose of the Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines for all adults.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that all people age 50 and older get a booster if they received their primary vaccine series at least six months ago. Adults 18 and older may also get a booster if they received their initial vaccines more than six months ago.

U-M Health is preparing to offer booster shots to all adults under CDC guidelines and will provide updates on its COVID-19 vaccine page

Please note, this development does not affect employees who wish to receive a COVID-19 vaccine through Occupational Health Services’ employee vaccination clinics. Team members who want to receive a vaccine can sign up here.
