To kick off the holiday week, C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital held a “mini parade” on 12 East and 12 West to celebrate Mott’s first year participating in America’s Thanksgiving Parade in Detroit.
Patients watched from their room doorways and windows as the mini parade took to the halls —complete with life-size balloons and special VIPs (community helpers). It was so much fun and next year, the organization hopes to expand the parade throughout Mott.
Don’t forget to tune in on Thanksgiving morning to WDIV Detroit to see America’s Thanksgiving Parade and watch more than 20 of your Mott and Von Voigtlander Women’s Hospital colleagues walk alongside Mott’s float! The float will feature the Detroit Academy of Arts & Sciences choir singing songs about staying healthy. Mott’s mascot, Motty, will also walk alongside the float, and more faculty and staff will be in the grandstands cheering them on.
During the parade, Michigan Medicine will also air a Michigan Answers commercial featuring one of our Little Victors, Carter.
