‘I Do Know Jack!’ paintings exhibition on display at University Hospital

Kenneth Hershenson, a native Detroiter, paints photorealistic images that share joy, humor and offer relief from the day-to-day stresses of life.

His series of acrylic paintings, I Do Know Jack!, explores reflections in chrome that open a world beyond the edges of the canvas. He places toy chrome jacks with unusual scale in unexpected settings and engages viewers with clever titles.

A self-taught and lifelong artist, in 2015, Hershenson won first place in the Michigan Great Artist Competition and top 25 artist in 2D at Art Prize. His background includes designing Starbucks stores for their Japan market and architectural design for Disneyland.
