Give blood at upcoming drives on campus
All Michigan Medicine team members are encouraged to give blood at upcoming drives on the U-M campus.
As part of the Blood Battle against Ohio State, the following drives are scheduled:
Nov. 18: 10 a.m.-8 p.m., Michigan Union, Ballroom
Nov. 19: 10 a.m.-8 p.m., Michigan Union, Ballroom
Nov. 21: 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Michigan Stadium, Jack Roth Suites
Nov. 23: 6:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m., University Hospital, Towsley Center Lobby
Nov. 23: 9 a.m.-3 p.m., North Campus Research Complex Building 18, Dining Room
Nov. 24: 6:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m., University Hospital, Towsley Center Lobby
Additionally, a new drive has been set for Dec. 15 in the Towsley Center Lobby from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Please note, these drives are open to the public. Attendees are required to follow the building’s mask mandates and respond to required COVID-19 screening questions via the ResponsiBLUE app.
Other important things to keep in mind:
- Individuals who have already received the Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine are NOT required to defer blood donations.
- The Red Cross has set up a great website with details about their COVID-19 precautions:
- There is currently no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread through blood (more information on the FDA website).
