New webinar series will showcase staff members and their career pathways

Searching for best practices and creative ways to traverse what can be a tricky professional landscape at the University of Michigan? The answers can be found in the office or cube right next to you — or maybe somewhere down the hallway — from colleagues who have been there. 

The U-M Medical School is launching a webinar panel series that will showcase various staff members discussing their current positions with the goal of sharing information on different career pathwaysand opportunities that exist within our institution.

The panelists will:

• Discuss the various pathways they took to get to the job they are in today 
• Share suggestions on what skills hiring managers find helpful, their recommendations on what skills would make someone successful, and opportunities that exist to gain these skills 
• Share recommendations on ways to build your resume and customize your cover letter 
• Provide professional development resources and networking opportunities (where applicable).
