Description

You are invited to the Biennial Montie Shumaker Kidney Cancer Lecture featuring A. Ari Hakimi, M.D., associate professor in the Department of Surgery, Urology Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

He is the co-leader of the translational kidney cancer program and an active kidney cancer surgeon. His lab aims to understand immune infiltration, inflammation, and the tumor microenvironment in RCC to identify novel therapeutic targets to overcome resistance to systemic therapies. These studies apply bulk and single-cell RNA sequencing, flow cytometry, and immunogenomic analyses to both patient samples and mouse models.
