Don’t miss this unique opportunity which will support the University of Michigan Congenital Heart Center and our pediatric patients and families.  The Michigan Theater will be hosting a premiere of a documentary titled Bowen’s Heart on Thursday, Oct. 21 in the evening. 

This feature length documentary film follows one of our patients, eight-year-old Bowen Hammitt, through his third major open heart surgery, and explores the tension between hoping the surgery will make his life better and knowing it could make things much worse.  Bowen’s Heart offers a deeply vulnerable view of how chronic illness impacts an entire family.  Proceeds from this event will go to support Save A Heart, our annual fundraiser.
