Watercolor portraits by Catherine McClung now on display

Canadian born Catherine McClung makes her home and studio in Spring Lake, Michigan. Lovers of nature and tableware may be familiar with her designs on Lenox china.

Although best known for her watercolor paintings of birds, this exhibition features McClung’s recent work — riveting and insightful watercolor portraits.

Some of McClung’s other projects have included representing Michigan with her ornament of the White House Christmas tree, which was featured on HGTV’s White House Artisans. One of her proudest achievements is an 8×9-foot mural of the 33 birds mentioned in the Bible on display in the United Methodist Church compound in Chelsea, Michigan.
