Plan ahead: Project to limit access to Palmer structure

Please be advised that beginning next Monday, Sept. 13, the staircase at the southwest corner of the Undergraduate Science Building is scheduled to be closed for 4-6 weeks for critical concrete repairs.

Consequently, the door at the bottom of the stairs, which provides access to the Palmer Drive Parking Structure, will be closed. 

Here’s what you need to know about the project:

• Per the project’s detour plan, pedestrians will be routed around the north side of USB for access to the Dental School east entrance. Pedestrians will also be able to access the Palmer Drive Parking Structure via the elevator lobby at Mary Sue Coleman Hall. 
• Parkers within the Palmer Drive Parking Structure will be directed to use the Level 3 connection to the Fletcher Parking Structure, which will also provide access to the Dental Building.
• Informational signage about the closure and detours will be posted in the field and throughout the Palmer Drive Parking Structure.
