This past year represented major changes to the way we do our work at U-M. As leaders, we have had to learn to be more agile and responsive in our leadership style. While we do the work to determine what our workplaces will look like moving forward, it is important that we keep our commitment to DEI central to our efforts. This session will help you to foster equity and inclusion while building a new hybrid workplace culture.
You will learn to:
- Utilize four ways to actively manage the structurally inevitable differences in power that arise in a hybrid environment and their effects
- Determine the importance of intentionally creating culture in the hybrid workplace
- Recognize the needs of those you lead and strategies to help meet them
You will benefit by:
- Understanding how position and power affect the hybrid workplace
- Obtaining tools to create a fair and inclusive workplace for both remote and onsite employees
- Gaining strategies to mitigate power differentials
- Understanding the role of leadership in forming culture
