Learn how to prepare healthy and delicious dishes from the comfort of your own kitchen.
During MHealthy’s virtual cooking classes, you’ll interact with our MHealthy chefs and dietitians as they share time saving tips, help you cut costs, and teach you how to create tasty dishes using vegetables, fruits, whole grains, beans, nuts, fish, low-fat dairy, lean meat and beneficial fats.
September 2021 Cooking Two-Class Series
Registration is now open for the September Cooking Class Series. The cost to attend the two-class series is $20. Registration closes at 10 a.m. on Sept. 16.
September classes will focus on the fall harvest and all of the fresh, delicious and affordable veggies, fruits and herbs currently available in your local market or garden.
Sept. 22, noon-12:45 p.m.: Terrific Tomatoes
This class will demonstrate two new ways to enjoy this juicy, flavorful fruit that we treat like vegetables. Whether bright red, yellow, orange or green, tomatoes are full of antioxidants that are linked with improved heart health, cancer prevention and even protection against sunburns.
Sept. 29, noon-12:45 p.m.: Cauliflower is Cool
This class will teach you how to enjoy cauliflower in new and unexpected ways! With a nutty and slightly sweet taste, this powerful flower has become one of the trendiest vegetables over the last few years, making its way onto menus and dinner tables in a variety of ways, including pizza crust!
New class series each month
MHealthy will host a different cooking class series each month. Registration will open a few weeks before the first class date.
MHealthy cooking classes support the growing field of culinary medicine, which explores the links between food and health, applying the foundations of nutritional science side-by-side with traditional medical interventions in clinical care.
