Easy maintenance of certification Part IV credit for physicians and PAs now available

August 6, 2021  //  FOUND IN: Updates & Resources

All physicians and physician assistants now have up to three opportunities to earn maintenance of certification (MOC) Part IV credit for improvements they made to their practice during the COVID-19 pandemic.

If you took steps to minimize exposure to COVID-19 (i.e. used PPE, used ResponsiBLUE, etc.) and/or completed virtual visits, you are eligible! Formal participation in these improvement activities was not required.

Physicians earn MOC Part IV credit (or their board’s equivalent) and PAs earn PI-CME credit.

More than 500 physicians and PAs have already earned credit for the 2020 project, “COVID-19-driven Expansion of Virtual Visits.” This opportunity is still available for anyone who has yet to complete an attestation.

Two new projects are available for 2021 credit: “Further COVID-19-driven Expansion of Virtual Visits” and “Minimizing Occupational Exposure to COVID-19.”

Visit the Michigan Medicine MOC webpage to review the reports and complete a quick attestation form. Credit will appear on your board portal within 4-6 weeks.
