UH art exhibit features macro photography on wood

Joseph Ferraro is a conservation macro photographer who documents native pollinators and other invertebrates.

By photographing his subjects in their surroundings, he emphasizes the importance of these creatures to our lives. In capturing their beauty, he seeks to inspire viewers to take a closer look at the mostly unseen world around us.

Following the credo “do no harm,” he can be found exploring communal gardens, wild spaces and his own backyard with camera in hand, photographing the many creatures he encounters.
