Medical school room capacity updates

July 12, 2021  //  FOUND IN: Updates & Resources

To clarify information shared last week in Ops Update and the employee town hall, the U-M Medical School is following campus COVID-19 guidance for the use of conference rooms in its research and academic facilities (non-U-M Health).

There are no capacity restrictions in any conference room in medical school buildings, including NCRC, for research or other non-clinical activities. On July 26, capacity limitations will be removed for the fall semester for conference rooms used as classrooms. The capacity for these rooms, as well as classrooms and auditoriums in medical school buildings, will be increased to 100 percent on that date for all academic activities. Face coverings will be required for faculty, staff and learners in academic spaces and while attending in-person classes.

In addition, masking and social distancing is still required on U-M public transportation, and in all U-M buildings for those that have not reported their vaccine status or are unvaccinated. The use of ResponsiBLUE is also required prior to entering any U-M building.
