Creative colleagues show off their work in second annual Virtual Art Fair
Over the next few days, you may take some time to stroll through downtown Ann Arbor and check out this year’s art fair.
But Headlines has a much easier — and cooler — way to check out some incredible artwork. All you have to do is click on the categories below to see some of the fantastic creations submitted by Michigan Medicine faculty and staff for the second annual Headlines Virtual Art Fair!
The artwork has meaning behind it — and some even helped create memories. For instance, here is the background to abstract art submitted by clinical pharmacist David Frame, Pharm.D.:
“I am a clinical pharmacist in bone marrow transplant and immunohematology here at Michigan. I have a 15-year-old daughter with a rare neurologic disorder and developmental delay. With the strict quarantine and limit of activities during COVID-19, we started a new hobby of acrylic pour painting that we could both participate in. I sadly have no artistic talent, but we have found this to be a relaxing and joyful process that we can share. I thought I would share with you a few of our abstract works. Thank you for helping to inspire this.”
Check out the Frames‘ work under the paintings category.
But that’s not all that was submitted! From jewelry to photography, bubble art to mailbox sculptures (yes, really), there’s no shortage of creativity among your colleagues.
Over the next few minutes, peruse dozens of pieces that prove your coworkers are just as impressive outside of work as they are in carrying out the organization’s mission.
From all of us at Headlines, thank you to the artists who submitted and Happy Art Fair Week!
