Resilience and Wellness Series: Learned Optimism

This monthly resilience and well-being series has been designed specifically for faculty at the University of Michigan Medical School. This course will equip you with actionable skills to enhance your ability to overcome adversity, manage stress, and thrive in your professional and personal life. In this highly experiential workshop, you will engage in practical exercises, get personalized coaching and feedback from the instructors, and discuss strategies for applying the skills after the course.
This workshop will focus on the benefits of optimism, and strategies for increasing resilience and optimism in our lives. Optimism is one of the most important and well-studied protective factors in resilience. Deliberately cultivating an optimistic mindset can help individuals navigate stressors they encounter and increase overall well-being.
