MHealthy’s cooking classes have gone virtual! Now you can learn how to prepare healthy and delicious dishes from the comfort of your own kitchen.
Interact virtually with our MHealthy chefs and dietitians as they share time saving tips, help you cut costs, and teach you how to create tasty dishes using vegetables, fruits, whole grains, beans, nuts, fish, low-fat dairy, lean meat and beneficial fats.
July 2021 cooking two-class series
Registration is now open for the July Cooking Class Series. The cost to attend the two-class series is $20. Registration closes at 10 a.m. on July 8.
This month’s classes will focus on simple, no-sweat, summer dishes made with some of the best in season ingredients:
July 14 class (Noon – 12:30 p.m.): Hello Herbs
Salt and pepper can take a back seat when you perk up your favorite grilled chicken, fish, pastas, veggies or grain dishes with herbs! This class teaches you how to brighten the flavors in your pastas and salads using basil, parsley or mint.
July 28 class (Noon – 12:30 p.m.): Z is for Zucchini
The humble zucchini is loaded with vitamins, minerals and has a multitude of health benefits ranging from improving eye and skin health to supporting circulation and heart health. This class will teach you easy and delicious ways to enjoy zucchini, even for dessert!
New class series each month
MHealthy will host a different cooking class series each month. Registration will open a few weeks before the first class date.
MHealthy cooking classes support the growing field of culinary medicine, which explores the links between food and health, applying the foundations of nutritional science side-by-side with traditional medical interventions in clinical care.
