I was hired into the Medical Intensive Care Unit (now known as Critical Care Medical Unit) in 1974. As a new nursing diploma graduate, I had the luxury of working 12-hour midnight shifts. I joined Perinatal Nursing in 1978, eventually becoming the Labor and Delivery manager. The second half of my career was in IT with an emphasis around servicing the clinical arena. I joined the MCIT Clinical Systems & Applications (order entry) team in 1994, enterprise-wide scheduling project in 1996, and the CareWeb team in 2001. Since 2014, I served in several different project management and relationship management roles.
