As the volume of patients in the Birth Center at Von Voigtlander Women’s Hospital grows, additional adjustments have been made to the surge accommodation strategy that went into effect on June 7.

Units that are impacted in C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital and Von Voigtlander Women’s Hospital, as well as some adult patient units from University Hospital and the Frankel Cardiovascular Center that are located in the children’s and women’s hospitals, have been notified of these updated adjustments that go into effect on June 22.

Hospital leadership will continually assess the situation throughout the next three months and keep the affected teams updated on progress.

Everyone is thanked in advance for their support and partnership in these adjustments as Michigan Medicine continues to provide safe, reliable care to each patient.
