Danielle Ofri, a bestselling author and NYU professor of medicine, will deliver the 11th annual Bishop Lecture in Bioethics at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 12.

The virtual lecture is entitled “Surviving Healthcare after COVID.”

Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, disillusionment in the health care field felt like it was reaching epidemic proportions. Burnout — exacerbated by COVID-19 — seems to be everywhere.

Ofri’s talk will examine the impact of disillusionment, highlighting strategies for re-engaging health care workers, combating burnout and thriving in the new era of medicine.
