To help, innovative and sensory Recharge Rooms on campus are designed to induce short-term decreases in blood pressure, stress hormones and heart rate to instill calmness and reduce anxiety. Last Sunday was the Academy Awards, and the newsletter took the awards show as an excuse to compile a list of the favorite movies from faculty and staff. Pandemic puts renewed focus on importance of the patient experience
This past week has been celebrated as Patient Experience Week at Michigan Medicine. And while the week is the perfect time to learn about ways to improve the patient experience, it is also ideal for celebrating the people who do such work every day.
