Take Command of Microsoft Word

Tuesday, September 28, 2021

12:00pm - 1:00pm

Many of us haven’t had the time to learn the less-obvious features of Word, but as a result, we may be wasting hours of time when composing and formatting a journal article, a book, or doing other professional writing. This workshop will introduce you to several features that will save you time and ensure consistency throughout your document:

  • Create a Table of Contents that keeps track of its contents and page numbers by itself
  • Use Styles so that a change to the formatting of Chapter 1 ripples through all your chapters
  • Make your captions keep track of their own numbering, so they renumber themselves as you add or delete figures or tables

In addition, you’ll find out where to learn even more, and where to get help when you run into a problem.
