Radiation dosimeters due

April 1, 2021  //  FOUND IN: Updates & Resources

Monthly AND quarterly radiation dosimeters (“badges”) are due for exchange today, April 1.

Please return your March (or first quarter) dosimetry to your departmental dosimetry contact and retrieve your April (or second quarter) dosimetry. The wear period is indicated on the front and back of the dosimeter.

Expired dosimeters are due back to (i.e., must be received by) the U-M Radiation Safety Service by April 10. On-time return of dosimetry enables timely processing and reporting of results, helps RSS monitor and control occupational radiation exposures, and improves departmental compliance with University policy and the Michigan Medicine dosimetry policy.

Dosimetry results are sent to each department shortly after receipt from the dosimetry processor; if you wish to review your dosimetry results, see your departmental dosimetry contact or dosimetry supervisor. To confidentially access your dosimetry results using the serial number on the back of your dosimeter, follow these instructions.

If you have questions about radiation dosimetry (including how to wear it), visit the link below or contact the U-M Radiation Safety Service at 734-764-4294.
