Lights, camera, action! It’s time to check out your favorite movies

Last Sunday was the Academy Awards, where honors were given out for best picture, best male and female actor, best director and in dozens of other categories.

At Headlines, the newsletter took the awards show as an excuse to compile a list of the favorite movies from faculty and staff — and you certainly did not disappoint!

More than 100 of you sent in recommendations, ranging from science-fiction and superhero flicks to comedies and documentaries.

They date back as long as the 1940s (The Best Years of Our Lives) to as recent as this year’s Oscar winner for best picture (Nomadland).
