‘Healthy You’ talk highlights the immune system and skin disorders

The Taubman Institute’s latest “Healthy You” presentation will feature physician-investigator Johann Gudjonsson, M.D., Ph.D., a Michigan Medicine dermatologist and Taubman Emerging Scholar.

His talk will take place at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9, via Zoom.

Gudjonsson, the Arthur C. Curtis Professor of Skin Molecular Immunology, has an extensive background in genetics, immunology, bioinformatics and molecular biology. For more than 16 years, he has studied the molecular basis of skin inflammation, with a focus on disorders such as psoriasis and connective tissue diseases. He also serves as an associate professor of dermatology and is the Frances and Kenneth Eisenberg Emerging Scholar. 

This presentation will focus on the causes and treatments of skin diseases related to the immune response. Live Q&A will be available through the Zoom chat function.
