Giving Blueday: Support what you love about Michigan Medicine
Giving Blueday has moved! This year, U-M is celebrating its annual day of giving next week on Wednesday, March 10.
This special day of giving is an opportunity for the community to come together and move health care forward for the benefit of people in Michigan and around the world.
“I have contributed to the Student-Run Free Clinic on Giving Blueday because it provides training opportunities for our medical students on both clinical and non-clinical skills that are essential for their future successes,” said Wenyu Bai, M.D., clinical assistant professor in the Department of Anesthesiology.
Grace Boxer, M.D., clinical assistant professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, has supported the work of the Heinz C. Prechter Bipolar Research Fund.
“Life can be incredibly challenging for persons with bipolar disorder,” she said. “The Prechter Bipolar Research Program conducts research to understand and predict the course of this long-term disorder and the mechanisms that drive it. I admire their model of bringing together expertise from across the U-M campus to delineate new and improved ways to treat and manage this disease.”
Whether your heart is with medical students serving populations in need, researchers developing lifesaving therapies or caregivers helping patients heal, you can truly make a difference at Michigan Medicine. Many of the featured funds also have matching gifts that will double the value of your contribution.
Here are some ways to participate in Giving Blueday:
