Faculty workshop: Using your strengths

March 5, 2021  //  FOUND IN: Updates & Resources

We all have our personal character strengths. You just might be surprised by some of your strengths. Examples include curiosity, leadership and perseverance. Knowing and consistently using your strengths helps you be more effective and experience more satisfaction.

For this workshop, all participants will be asked to complete the free VIA (Values in Action) survey (takes ~10 minutes to complete) prior to the session. Please bring your results to the session. An email will be sent with instructions closer to the workshop date.

This workshop will focus on ways you currently use your strengths and new opportunities for using them. It will also include strategies for recognizing others’ strengths and ways to celebrate them.

Learning objectives:

  • Learn your personal strengths as assessed by the VIA Strengths survey.
  • Discuss ways you currently use your strengths and new opportunities for using them.
  • Strategize ways to recognize and encourage others’ strengths.

This workshop is a video ON session with participation expected. It will include small group breakout rooms as part of the session.

Date: Tuesday, April 13
