You’re invited: 11th annual Transplant Symposium

On March 18 and 19, Michigan Medicine is hosting the Gift of Life MOTTEP Kountz/Callender/Drew Transplant Symposium via Zoom Webinar.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day and the theme is “Equity and Equality in Health Medicine and Transplantation.”

John Magee, M.D., section head of transplantation, and Erika Newman, M.D., surgical director of the Mott Tumor Oncology Program, will provide opening remarks. Christopher Sonnenday, M.D., Transplant Center director, will be a featured speaker on Thursday; Silas Norman, M.D., transplant ambulatory care director, will be the moderator for Friday, and David Brown, M.D., associate vice president and associate dean for health equity and inclusion, will be the moderator for the Friday panel.

The event is ideal for physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, social workers, house officers, medical students and other health care professionals.
