Stay safe by using marked crosswalks
While all of us are tasked with keeping patients as safe as possible, please keep your own safety in mind when walking to and from parking lots along Fuller Road.
Pedestrian-activated flashing signals are at the Fuller Road crosswalk near Mitchell Field. The overhead signals produce a strobe-like yellow light to alert drivers to the presence of pedestrians, and provide pedestrians and drivers with an extra level of security.
Here’s what you need to know:
- If you park in parking lots M75 and NC78, use the marked crosswalk and push the button to activate the flashing lights and beacons.
- Do not cross the street at any point other than the marked crosswalk, even if trying to catch a bus to the medical center campus.
- When getting off a U-M bus, do not jaywalk straight to your car as it places you and drivers around you in danger.
Fuller Road is a very busy roadway and we are committed to keeping our staff and drivers as safe as possible. Thank you for your cooperation!
