Can you spot a phishing email? These top departments can!

February 25, 2021  //  FOUND IN: Our Employees

Michigan Medicine Information Assurance Education (IA Ed) & Awareness conducts regular simulated phishing activities to stress the importance of training the Michigan Medicine workforce to recognize fake from real. In short, the training shows how you can spot phishing emails and other scams that target employees at work and home.

Human intuition is one of the most powerful tools in your arsenal. Through practice and muscle memory, it can be honed as a defense against all types of threats to help reduce this risk to you and the organization.

IA Ed & Awareness recently conducted a review of the most susceptible and least susceptible departments to simulated phishing attempts in 2020.

Congratulations to the least susceptible departments of 2020:

  • Anesthesiology
  • Rogel Cancer Center
  • Neurology
  • Business Services I
  • Medical School Admin & ULAM
  • Pathology
  • Psychiatry
  • CCOPS

IA Ed & Awareness plans to review this information and report the results every quarter.

Departments/business units that are identified as least susceptible to phishing will be recognized, and those identified as most susceptible will receive further phishing training activities to help them stay vigilant.

Stay up to date with Information Assurance Education & Awareness:
