W-2 reminder: Consent now, print later

If you have not done so already, please consent to receive an electronic PDF copy of your 2020 W-2 instead of an identical mailed copy by Monday, Jan. 25.

Go to Wolverine Access> View Paycheck link. You will be prompted to provide your consent before you can select a paycheck. Your 2020 W-2 will be available for viewing and printing in early January 2021.

When you choose the electronic PDF copy, you will:

  • Avoid having sensitive W-2 information delivered via U.S. mail
  • Save significant postage costs and other associated mailing costs

Last year, the university saved $35,000 in postage thanks to those who received an electronic copy!

If you choose to receive your W-2 Form in the mail, hardcopy W-2 forms will be mailed by Jan. 31, 2021. 

The university will also provide Form 1095, which reports information about health care coverage, either electronically using the Tax Form 1095 link from Wolverine Access starting the week of Jan. 18, 2021 or be postmarked by Jan. 31, 2021.

You must consent to receive Form 1095 electronically by Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021 either at the same time you consent to receive an electronic PDF copy of your W-2, or by using Wolverine Access > Benefits Self-Service link > ACA 1095 Self Service > ACA 1095 Consent. You should retain this tax form with other tax documents needed to file your federal taxes.

To ensure prompt delivery of tax forms by the U.S. Postal Service, your current home address must be correct in our records. You can update your current home address via the web.

Go to Wolverine Access > Campus Personal Information link > Addresses. Address updates may also be made using the Address/Personal Data Form available on the Human Resources website.
