New well-being portal launches Jan. 12

December 18, 2020  //  FOUND IN: Updates & Resources

Here’s yet another reason to look forward to the new year — starting Jan. 12, you’ll have access to a whole new suite of health and well-being programs and resources!

The new MHealthy Portal, powered by Asset Health, will be available to university faculty, staff and their qualifying spouses and other qualified adults.

More inclusive range of health and well-being offerings

These days, most — if not all — of us are dealing with some sort of life challenge. Now more than ever, investing in your well-being and taking care of yourself is important.

On the new MHealthy Portal, you’ll have access to a wide range of programs and resources to help you with many aspects of your well-being journey, today and in the future:

  • Financial well-being
  • Mental and emotional well-being
  • Sleep
  • Physical activity
  • Nutrition
  • Food security
  • Alcohol management
  • Tobacco cessation support
  • and more

To get tailored program recommendations, MHealthy recommends taking the annual health questionnaire first.

Streamlined user experience

The new MHealthy Portal features a variety of programs and services like the annual health questionnaire, Active U and the Champion Portal, all on a single platform.

Additionally, by consolidating multiple suppliers into one, there is a cost savings to the university.

A new home for Active U

In 2021, Active U will continue to be here for you — but better! With the move to the new portal, participants will experience easier tracking, a more user-friendly interface and the ability to sync to more wearables and apps.

Joining Active U means you’ll be a part of a large community of people working towards the same goal — being active. Participate as an individual or as part of a team.

All employees, students, retirees and employee spouses/OQAs can register for Active U starting Jan. 12. Tracking your activity minutes starts Jan. 25.

Access for your spouse or other qualified adult

For many of us, our spouses/ OQAs have also become our coworkers. If your spouse/OQA is enrolled on your U-M health plan, they will have access to the full suite of programs and resources available on the MHealthy Portal.

Create a wall of inspiration

Reminding yourself why your health is important is a great form of motivation.

The MHealthy Portal includes your own personal “Why Wall” where you can post photos, inspiring messages to yourself, or whatever will help you remember your “why” for taking care of yourself.
