COVID-19 vaccine update
Yesterday, Dec. 21, Michigan Medicine vaccinated more than 900 faculty and staff against COVID-19, bringing the total number of employees vaccinated to 1,510.
As a reminder, all U-M faculty, staff and students are eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine through the university. In order to receive the vaccine, everyone must fill out the Blue Queue questionnaire, which asks you to identify:
- Whether you want to receive an invitation to schedule the vaccine; you can also indicate that you do not want the vaccine at this time
- General health information needed to help with prioritization of vaccine distribution
Here are some things to keep in mind as you are completing the Blue Queue questionnaire:
- The questionnaire should be accessible from any desktop, laptop, or mobile device.
- There are public access computers throughout the medical campus and clinic sites that can be used to complete the questionnaire.
- If you need to request support to increase device access for your staff to complete the questionnaire, please email MM-Device-Locate@med.umich.edu, and our HITS device support teams will assist you.
- All Michigan Medicine employees are considered essential, even if they work at home, because they are supporting the critical infrastructure to keep our health system open and functioning.
As we receive more supply, we will make every effort to schedule and vaccinate all members of the U-M community who fall into Phase 1A. Using the responses recorded in Blue Queue, eligible faculty and staff will begin receiving an invitation to schedule an appointment as more doses become available. The organization is working hard to ensure all faculty, staff and students who want to receive a vaccine can get one as quickly as possible.
