Two weeks left: Get your flu vaccination by Dec. 1
Under the organization’s influenza vaccination policy, faculty, staff, students and volunteers must receive their annual vaccine by Dec. 1, 2020 or receive an approved exemption or declination. This includes all employees who may be working remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
There are still opportunities to get your flu shot onsite at free flu clinic on the medical campus or at Occupational Health Services (OHS) in the Med Inn Building.
Daily clinics are available at OHS until the deadline, with the exception of Nov. 26-29, when the office will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Registration is required for all on-site clinics and when visiting OHS to provide adequate social distancing and reduce large gatherings. You may not just show up at a clinic or at OHS to receive a vaccine. Make sure to have your ID badge when you arrive and you’ll receive a sticker for your ID badge after getting the shot. Clinical department flu liaisons may also administer your flu shot.
If you receive your flu shot outside of an onsite flu clinic or visiting OHS, you MUST submit documentation, with the date, your name and UMID included, to email@example.com. This includes any employee who receives a flu shot through a U-M PCP. The information does not transfer from MyChart to HealthRx and requires documentation to be submitted to the email above.
UMPNC declinations are due by Dec. 1, 2020. These requests are annual, and must be re-submitted each year for approval. Those with an approved exemption or declination will be required to wear a mask in patient care areas for the entire flu season, even if COVID-19 mask requirements are lifted.
