Making a ‘human connection’: Disability advocate to receive James. T. Neubacher Award
On Thursday, Christa Moran was distinguished as the winner of the James T. Neubacher Award, given to the university’s top champion of disability rights. The recognition comes after years of service as a medical interpreter, supervisor and trainer at Michigan Medicine. Sharing successes, honoring legacies: Wrapping up Quality Month 2020
Online keynote addresses, virtual poster sessions and Zoom award ceremonies — those events and more made up an unprecedented Quality Month celebration at Michigan Medicine. Indeed, COVID-19 precautions couldn’t dampen the enthusiasm of faculty and staff participating and sharing their quality and safety improvement stories throughout October. Making a Difference: Caring
The Making a Difference program recently aligned recognition with the Michigan Medicine core values of caring, integrity, innovation, inclusion and teamwork. It serves as a great way to further demonstrate how employees are living out the values in the education, research and patient care settings.
