11:00am - 12:00pm

The Michigan Medicine Black Voices Resource Group is an affinity group centered on the experiences and needs of black faculty, learners and staff at Michigan Medicine. The purpose of the group is to amplify black voices within the Michigan Medicine community by engaging in authentic dialogue and sharing experiences- from marginalization to elevation. We aim to utilize professional and social connections to leverage career development opportunities, enhance support systems, increase mentoring and foster shared learning. The institutional goal of the group is to increase awareness and knowledge among Michigan Medicine leadership, ultimately improving the health, well-being and work-life outcomes of black employees.

We believe this resource group will be vital to the Anti-Racism Committee and other anti-racism work that is going on throughout Michigan Medicine, so it is our hope that you not only join us, but additionally, share this information with your networks and connections. Our next meeting is Friday, October 16, 2020 from 11:00 – 12:00. Future meetings will be held on the third Friday of each month from 11:00 – 12:00.
