8B, Trauma Burn Acute Care earn patient safety honors
Congratulations to the 8B team at University Hospital and the Trauma Burn Acute Care staff, who were recently honored with 365 Days of Safety Awards by the organization!
8B earned the recognition for being CAUTI (Catheter Associated Urinary Tract Infection)-free for 365 days, while trauma burn went a full year without at CLABSI (Central Line Associated Blood Stream Infection).
This was 8B’s third award and trauma burn’s second.
The 365 Days of Safety Award program recognizes outstanding practice within a patient care unit, area, clinic or department which resulted in the avoidance of patient harm and health care-acquired conditions for 365 consecutive days.
