U-M undergraduate students who are part of a program called Opportunities to Educate Children (OEC) are offering free tutoring sessions for children of Michigan Medicine employees.

The virtual tutoring would take place over Zoom and can last up to three hours every week.

“This school year will present learning challenges of varying types, as most schools are being held remotely,” said Zach Pickell, a student in OEC who helps lead the program. “So we’re very excited to support the Michigan Medicine community and offer school-age children access to free virtual tutoring.”

Tutors are available for kindergarten through college and in most subject areas. All OEC tutors are University of Michigan students and typically volunteer at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital.

To request an OEC tutor, please fill out the virtual tutor request form.
