Don’t forget, the organization’s food and toiletry drive to support Food Gatherers runs through this Sunday, Sept. 27.

All members of the Michigan Medicine and U-M community can chip in by providing healthy foods and basic supplies to those who need it most. In fact, 40 percent of those seeking help from the agencies served by Food Gatherers during COVID-19 have been doing so for the first time.

To date, the drive has collected almost 4,000 pounds of food, in addition to monetary donations, which together are the equivalent of 84,048 meals. That is on top of 147 pounds of toiletries donated by team members. With one final push, this already-amazing effort can help the community even more!
