The Michigan Medicine Black Resource Group to meet Friday

Please consider joining the next The Michigan Medicine Black Resource Group meeting.

The Michigan Medicine Black Resource Group is an affinity group centered on the experiences and needs of black faculty, learners and staff at Michigan Medicine.  The purpose of the group is to amplify black voices within the Michigan Medicine community by engaging in authentic dialogue and sharing experiences- from marginalization to elevation. 

The group aims to utilize professional and social connections to leverage career development opportunities, enhance support systems, increase mentoring and foster shared learning. 

The institutional goal of the group is to increase awareness and knowledge among Michigan Medicine leadership, ultimately improving the health, well-being and work-life outcomes of black employees.

The next meeting is Friday, August 14 from 11-12 p.m.  The kickoff meeting is scheduled for September 25 from 11-12 p.m. Future meetings will be held on the 3rd Friday of every month from 11:00 a.m. – noon starting in October.
