U-M Depression Center to host Workplace Mental Health Conference

The U-M Depression Center will host an online conference to address mental health in the workplace as organizations transition back to the workplace environment or continue to work remotely.

The comprehensive event will be led by key stakeholders in academia and business, and encourages any employers, leaders, researchers and mental health professionals to join. The event is being co-sponsored by the U-M Center for Occupational Health and Safety Engineering.

The afternoon event will be held from 1:30 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 19 via Zoom. Registered participants will be sent a link to join the live conference within a week of the event.

Researchers, clinicians and industry experts will discuss the impact of COVID-19 on employee mental health and examine real-world strategies in supporting employees with mental health concerns. Attendees will be given tips and tools to provide adequate support for depressed or struggling employees, as well as to create a healthy workplace environment moving forward.

All registered participants will be given a link to view a recording of the conference as well as an electronic copy of the slides presented shortly after the event. Participants will also have the opportunity to receive a Certificate of Attendance.
