Earlier today, the Michigan Medicine Department of Urology hosted a virtual town hall on racial disparities.
The conversation touched on race/racism, conscious/unconscious bias and humanity. It was led by Feranmi Okanlami, M.D., assistant professor of family medicine and PM&R and director of adaptive sports at U-M, and Randy Vince, M.D., a first-year urologic oncology/SUO fellow.
Both are noted speakers on diversity, equity and inclusion, among other things.
The group was also joined by Michelle Caird, M.D., interim chair, professor and the Larry S. Matthews, M.D. Collegiate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery.
