Tony Denton named treasurer of Michigan Health & Hospital Association
Members of the Michigan Health & Hospital Association (MHA) elected new officers and appointed board members during the association’s virtual Annual Membership meeting on June 25. Officers of the 2020-2021 MHA Board of Trustees include Tony Denton as treasurer. Denton is senior vice president and chief operating officer for the U-M Health System.
Also among the elected officials were Edwin Ness, chair, and Tina Freese Decker, chair-elect. The board directs the greater Lansing-based association’s statewide representation of hospitals and health care providers.
Ness, president and CEO, Munson Healthcare in Traverse City, will serve as chairman during the association’s 2020-2021 program year beginning July 1. The terms of service of Freese Decker, president and CEO of Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids; and Denton will also span the 2020-2021 program year. John Fox, president and CEO, Beaumont Health, Southfield, will serve as immediate past chairman.
