Last Friday, the Office for Health Equity and Inclusion held a Juneteenth Tribute. Juneteenth is the day set to commemorate the end of slavery in America, and the freedom of enslaved black, indigenous and people of color.
To celebrate this day, and to stand in solidarity against racial discrimination and injustice, executives, faculty, staff, learners, patients, families and community members took a knee around the health system complex and paid tribute to George Floyd and all who have lost their lives due to racism and injustice.
