Joan Keiser, Ph.D., retires after key roles in NCRC, IHPI, PrecisionHealth and Global Health Equity efforts

Joan Keiser, Ph.D., director of Long Range Planning and Operations at the Institute for Healthcare Policy and Innovation, is completing work at the University after more than 25 years, almost 10 of them with IHPI.

Keiser was instrumental in opening and re-populating the North Campus Research Complex when it was bought from Pfizer in 2009 and after serving as Vice President of Research at Pfizer.

She joined the IHPI staff in 2011 and helped spearhead its early formation with cross-campus faculty leadership. Additionally, she helped launch Precision Health and the Center for Global Health Equity and was an adjunct professor of molecular and integrative physiology.

Leadership, faculty, and staff wish Dr. Keiser a happy retirement and all the best in her new adventures.
