Parking update: Free street parking available for staff

April 6, 2020  //  FOUND IN: Updates & Resources

The city of Ann Arbor is providing free street parking to Michigan Medicine staff.

Effective immediately, enforcement of meter parking on streets in close proximity to the medical campus has been temporarily suspended. Ann Arbor leadership recognizes the overall crisis and unprecedented effort of the Michigan Medicine staff to fight the COVID-19 pandemic and keep the community safe.

Approximately 60 meters are now bagged with “special event” markings on the following streets:

  • Ann Street: Glen to Observatory
  • Zina Pitcher: Ann Street to Washtenaw/Huron curve
  • Observatory: Ann Street to North University Court
  • Washington Heights: Observatory to Mary Markley Hall (does not include spaces marked for Arboretum parking)

Please be reminded that parking enforcement has been suspended in most campus lots and structures on a temporary basis to support the university community. However, enforcement remains in effect in parking structures P1 through P5. Additionally, all individual parking spaces signed for 24/7 enforcement (such as Accessible, Gold, Service or Business Vehicle spaces) will continue to be monitored.
