Parenting even under the best of circumstances is challenging; juggling parenting demands and caring for children while serving as a nurse, physician, respiratory therapist, environmental services worker, and other professions “on the frontline” during this pandemic can feel especially overwhelming. There is no one-size-fits all experience—kids vary and families have different needs—but one thing we all have in common is that this time is hard. This webinar will offer parents useful strategies and approaches to caring for their children and for themselves from a compassionate, non-judgmental, and practical perspective, with strategies and tips for parents working in healthcare professions as they navigate these new challenges on the “homefront”.
Presenters will include:
Kate Rosenblum, PhD, ABPP, Professor of Psychiatry and Obstetrics & Gynecology, Co-Director, Zero to Thrive
Jacqueline Kaufman, PhD, Associate Professor of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Director of Rehabilitation Psychology/Neuropsychology
Clarissa Love, DEI Consultant, Office for Health Equity and Inclusion
Nicole Figueroa, MSN, RN, AHN-BC, HWNC-BC, Nurse Leader for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Wellbeing
