Faculty workshop: Grounding meditation for troubled times
These especially challenging times of crisis and caring for others leaves little room to take care of ourselves. Learning tools to connect to an inner strength can help with perspective and make the day a little calmer.
Join Frank Anderson, M.D., M.P.H., professor of obstetrics and gynecology, in a virtual discussion and practice of mindfulness meditation to learn techniques and experience a sense of stillness to “recharge your batteries” and find some peace amid chaos.
The workshop is entitled “Grounding Meditation for Troubled Times – Caring for Yourself While Caring for Others.”
To allow for a robust and candid discussion, the session will have a maximum of 20 participants. The Office of Faculty Development hopes to continue to offer more resources in the coming weeks.
Date: Wednesday, April 22
Time: Noon – 1 p.m.
This workshop is hosted by the Office of Faculty Development and is intended for faculty. If you are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation to attend this workshop or have questions about accessibility, please contact us at UMMS-Faculty-Development@med.umich.edu.
