You’re invited: Working with Industry: Budgeting for Industry-Sponsored Studies

March 5, 2020  //  FOUND IN: Updates & Resources

Join the Clinical Trials Support Office for the fourth installment in its Working with Industry series on Tuesday, March 24, where faculty will learn how to become more involved in the budgeting process for industry-sponsored studies.

Faculty will receive a step-by-step guide on developing a budget by Anna Lok, M.D., assistant dean for clinical research, who will use her years of experience and real examples from an actual protocol to share best-practices and helpful advice. This session will provide a view of budgeting from a faculty’s perspective and does not require prior accounting training or experience.

Part 4 will teach faculty how to:

  • Understand the protocol, including item costs and coverage
  • Interpret a sponsor-offered budget
  • How to combine the protocol and sponsor offer into a Michigan Medicine CTSO budget
  • Negotiate with a sponsor

When: Tuesday, March 24
Time: 5 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Where: Taubman Health Sciences Library, Rm 2901

RSVP here.

Attendance of prior Working with Industry sessions is not required. Refreshments are provided.
